Amphenol MIL-DTL-38999 Connector System — Family of I, III, IV Series | DEUTSCH DTS & ACT Family — Circular MIL-DTL-38999 Series III Style:

DEUTSCH DTS Series and ACT Series are the standard circular connector for use in harsh military and aerospace environments. High density layouts with up to 187 data connections and power contacts rated up to 23A. They feature a triple-start coupling with anti-decoupling ratchet for high vibration applications, grounded plug for superior EMI shielding and 100% scoop-proof contacts for blind-mate coupling. They are qualified to stringent MIL-DTL-38999 Series III specifications.

DTS Series: Lightweight aluminum shells for environmentally sealed versions and stainless steel for harsh environment. ACT Series: Composite shells, offering a light weight and a high resistance to corrosion. Inserts are available in nine shell sizes, with contact arrangements meeting EN3645-002.

MIL-DTL-38999 Series III Series Features:

Shell: Aluminum, composite, stainless steel, marine bronze

Plating: Olive drab cadmium, passivated, electroless or electrodeposited nickel, nickel PTFE, black zinc nickel

Insert: Thermoplastic and fluorinated silicone elastomer

EMI Spring Fingers: Nickel or cadmium-plated beryllium copper

O-Ring: Fluorinated silicone elastomer

Sine Vibration: Up to 60 g for 36 hr.

Random Vibration: Up to 41.7 g for 16 hr. at 175° C / Up to 50 g for 16 hr. at ambient temperature

Shock: 300 g, 3 ms in the 3 axes

Durability: 500 mating cycles (1500 cycles for composite connectors)

100% metal-to-metal bottoming for excellent EMI grounding protection

Connector is grounded when the shells meet, even before the contacts are engaged

Trapezoidal thread for excellent shell-to-shell continuity

High-quality silicone seals to help maximize tear resistance and sealing memory

Self-locking threaded coupling

Elongated mounting holes for flexible mounting with standard EN3645 box or wall mount receptacles

Contact retention system provides excellent contact retention under severe vibration
